Known for their exceptional catering, Armandos once again outdid themselves, presenting an insanely delicious and diverse spread that delighted every palate. The Tex-Mex theme was a nod to our Texas location, offering vibrant flavors and hearty options that were both authentic and sophisticated, proving that brunch can be both elegant and incredibly satisfying.
Tropical Touches and Gilded Accents
To truly embrace the spirit of summer and infuse a gentle tropical vibe, I incorporated these fabulous palm print placemats. I had cleverly snagged them on sale from Paper Source the previous summer and had been patiently “hoarding” them, knowing they were destined for the perfect occasion. Their lush green patterns instantly transported our tablescape to a sun-drenched paradise, providing a playful yet elegant foundation for our pastel scheme.
The layering of textures and patterns continued with my decision to feature these metallic gold dotted paper runners from Minted. I needed absolutely no excuse to bring them out! They added a sophisticated sparkle and a touch of modern glam that beautifully contrasted with the organic feel of the palm prints. These runners perfectly harmonized with the equally charming gold foil menus, also from Minted, which elegantly detailed our brunch offerings. Don’t you agree that the combination created a truly cohesive and stylish look?

No poolside party is complete without a bit of playful decoration in the water itself! We enthusiastically deployed more balloons from Studio DIY’s balloon shop, intending for them to float gracefully in the pool, adding vibrant pops of color to the pastel tableau. However, as it turns out, my understanding of accurately anchoring helium balloons on a windy day proved to be somewhat… lacking. Despite using what I thought were substantial balloon anchors, the helium had a mind of its own, and the balloons embarked on their own little adventures across the water!
This little mishap added a humorous touch to our meticulously planned event and served as a lighthearted reminder that sometimes, even with the best intentions, things don’t go exactly as planned – and that’s perfectly okay. It sparked a fun conversation and a shared laugh among the bloggers.
