There’s nothing quite like a beautifully decorated Christmas tree, twinkling lights, and a warm, inviting corner to truly capture the spirit of the holidays. This year holds extra special meaning for us, as it’s our very first Christmas in our new home, and I couldn’t be more excited to infuse every corner with festive cheer! With baby number two arriving soon, our home feels cozier than ever, filled with anticipation and holiday joy.

It’s also the first year our daughter, Gwen, truly understands the magic of Christmas. Seeing the wonder in her eyes as she discovers each new decoration has been an absolute delight. I’ve never felt cooler than when she arrived home from school to find our enchanting front door Christmas decor, her face lighting up with pure amazement.

While I admit I spent a considerable amount of time meticulously debating the perfect combination of Christmas ornaments from At Home, the end result has filled me with so much happiness. Our Living Room Pink and Gold Christmas Decorations

For those who follow our design journey, you might recall that our living room decor has evolved since we first unveiled it during the One Room Challenge reveal. This year, for Christmas, we aimed for an aesthetic that blends sophistication with playful charm, featuring a beautiful array of pink and gold Christmas decorations.

The ceilings in our front living room and foyer reach an impressive 25 feet, offering a grand canvas for our holiday vision. This meant we had ample space to consider a truly magnificent Christmas tree. While shopping, a 9-foot tree seemed perfectly adequate, but the 12-foot options appeared absolutely massive in the store setting. Ultimately, we decided on a lovely flocked tree. However, once we brought it home and set it up in our expansive living room, I found myself wishing we had opted for the more commanding 12-foot version. Nevertheless, our chosen tree still makes a stunning statement, especially with its soft, snow-kissed branches providing the perfect backdrop for our carefully selected ornaments.

When it came to selecting ornaments, my heart immediately went out to these exquisite paper flower pink ornaments. Their intricate detailing is absolutely incredible, adding a touch of delicate artistry to our tree. With a lively toddler and three energetic cats roaming about, prioritizing shatterproof ornaments was a must. Fortunately, all our chosen ornaments fall into the kid-safe and pet-friendly category, allowing us to enjoy the festive display without constant worry.

The stunning pink flower ornaments were my indulgence, my “splurge pieces,” if you will. To create a balanced and cohesive look, I artfully mixed them with various sets of durable shatterproof ornaments and elegant wood bead garlands. Our tree now boasts a captivating combination of antiqued icicle ornaments that catch the light beautifully, along with charming matte white and pink ornaments. Shimmering gold star ornaments, generously sized jumbo gold ornaments, and sophisticated cream and gold ornaments add depth and sparkle. To complete the look, a few retro gold ornaments sprinkle in a touch of vintage glamour, making our pink and gold Christmas tree a true centerpiece of our living room.

Our Christmas Fireplace Decor

Beyond the tree, our fireplace became another focal point for our pink and gold Christmas decor. I completely fell in love with this unique foldable metal village decor piece. Its intricate design immediately struck me as a perfect, unconventional fireplace screen, and I adore how seamlessly it fits into the space. Without hesitation, I shamelessly spray-painted it a beautiful gold to ensure it perfectly matched the rest of our elegant holiday theme. To further connect it with our tree, I adorned the area with coordinating gold gift boxes tied with soft pink ribbons, echoing the blush tones of our ornaments.

To introduce some vertical interest and grandeur around the fireplace, I placed two matching mini flocked trees on either side. These came with pre-attached ornaments, which I simply removed to maintain our desired aesthetic and allow them to serve as clean, festive accents. The “Merry” garland draped across the mantel is a charming find from Target, and you can discover a similar style here to recreate the look.

It’s no secret that I have a particular fondness for sisal trees – they’re a recurring favorite in my holiday decorating. A prime example can be seen in our Christmas decor from our previous home, prominently featured in my Christmas scavenger hunt game! For this living room, which embraces a more muted and sophisticated color palette, I chose a subtle arrangement of sisal trees. I paired them with elegant glass light-up trees, creating a soft, ethereal glow. I really wish I had managed to snag those enchanting glass pink Christmas trees I had my eye on – they would have been the perfect addition!

What I might have missed out on with the glass pink Christmas trees, I certainly made up for with this adorable igloo and polar bear centerpiece – a delightful focal point that captures a sense of whimsical charm, don’t you agree? And this faux gingerbread house village was simply too cute to resist! These elements add a playful, storybook quality to our decor, making the entire living room feel even more magical for both children and adults.

Our stunning oversized gold mirror, strategically placed between the dining room and living room, provided the perfect canvas for another festive touch. We adorned it with a beautiful flocked wreath, which I customized by removing its original berries and pinecones to better suit our pink and gold theme. A luxurious pink velvet ribbon was then added, creating a cohesive link to the pink ornaments on our Christmas tree and throughout the room. This thoughtful detail ensures every part of our living space radiates the chosen holiday aesthetic.
